Electrician

Position : Electrician

Location: Tonawanda, NY

Pay Rate Range: $21.39 – $30.00/hour, depending on experience

Our client, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology equipment manufacturer , is looking to hire an Electrician in Tonawanda, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings to build and integrate systems in compliance with NEC, UL, CSA, and other applicable electrical codes.
• Perform hands-on electrical wiring, layout, assembly, and system integration at workbenches and directly on industrial freeze-drying equipment.
• Assemble and lay out mechanical and electrical components, including power cabinets, control cabinets, and sub-panels.
• Test wiring, electrical components, and systems before and during equipment power-up.
• Work closely with engineering and other departments to support cross-functional manufacturing activities.
• Guide and support electrical assembly work while ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are met.
• Support off-site equipment installations and preventive maintenance activities as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Prior experience performing electrical work; industrial electrical or equipment assembly experience preferred.
• Strong electrical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting and assembly skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
• Ability to work independently in a job shop or manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with SHE standards.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to learn additional technical skills and support equipment installation and preventive maintenance activities.
• Trade school training is preferred.
