About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Service Technician to join a growing residential electrical service team in Wilmington, NC.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for an electrician who enjoys troubleshooting problems, working independently, and helping homeowners find the right electrical solutions. You will travel directly from home to customer locations, diagnose electrical issues, explain your findings and recommendations, and complete repairs and service work safely and professionally.

You’ll typically handle 3–4 service calls per day, supported by a responsive dispatch team and provided with the tools, technology, company vehicle, and resources needed to do the job effectively.

Core Responsibilities

• Travel directly from home to residential customer locations throughout the Wilmington service area.
• Complete approximately 3–4 residential service calls per day.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems and issues.
• Perform electrical repairs, installations, maintenance, and service work.
• Assess homeowners’ electrical needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Clearly explain electrical problems, repair options, and recommendations to customers.
• Perform all work in accordance with residential electrical codes and safety standards.
• Maintain high-quality workmanship across every service call.
• Build strong relationships with homeowners through professional communication and reliable service.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate job updates with the dispatch team.
• Follow established customer-service processes designed to build long-term customer relationships.
• Participate in weekly service meetings and the emergency dispatch rotation as required.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and uniforms in professional condition.

Core Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential electrical service experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and electrical codes.
• Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and service.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Comfortable working independently in residential customer environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outgoing, positive, and professional approach with customers.
• Ability to explain technical electrical issues clearly to homeowners.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple service calls efficiently throughout the day.
• Willingness to participate in an emergency dispatch schedule.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
