Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM + Emergency Dispatch Rotation
Compensation: DOE + Commission

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician Residential Electrician to support residential electrical service needs throughout the Raleigh-Durham area.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing position for an electrician who is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting electrical issues, communicating directly with homeowners, and completing quality repairs and service work in accordance with residential electrical codes.

Technicians dispatch directly from home to customer locations, with no daily commute to a central office. The typical workload is approximately 3 4 service calls per day, with support from a responsive dispatch team and the tools and technology needed to complete the work effectively.

Core Responsibilities

• Dispatch directly from home to residential customer locations throughout the Raleigh-Durham service area.
• Complete approximately 3 4 residential service calls per day.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical problems.
• Perform electrical repairs, maintenance, installations, and service work.
• Assess homeowners' electrical needs and determine appropriate solutions.
• Explain electrical issues, repair options, and recommendations clearly to customers.
• Perform all work in accordance with residential electrical codes and safety standards.
• Provide professional customer service and build positive relationships with homeowners.
• Maintain high-quality workmanship across each service call.
• Communicate with the dispatch team regarding schedules, job status, and service needs.
• Follow established customer-service processes focused on building long-term customer relationships.
• Participate in weekly service meetings and emergency dispatch rotation as required.

Core Qualifications

• 4+ years of residential electrical service experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and electrical code.
• Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and service.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Comfortable working independently in residential customer environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outgoing, positive, and professional approach when working with homeowners.
• Ability to explain technical electrical issues and repair options in a clear, customer-friendly manner.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to manage multiple service calls throughout the day.
• Willingness to participate in an emergency dispatch schedule.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
