What This Role Is About
The Electrician maintains and repairs electrical systems and equipment that support safe, reliable manufacturing operations. This role troubleshoots electrical and control issues, completes preventive maintenance, and partners with machine operators and maintenance team members to restore equipment performance. The Electrician helps minimize downtime while completing work safely, accurately, and in accordance with established procedures.
What You’ll Do
- Perform or assist with electrical repairs and other electrical work throughout the facility.

- Coordinate with machine operators and maintenance team members to identify problems, communicate repair status, and manage priorities.
- Complete assigned work safely, remain alert, and respond appropriately to operating conditions, alarms, and changing priorities.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and support other facility needs as directed by the supervisor.
Physical Requirements
- Stand for 8–10 hours and walk throughout the plant, including at a fast pace when necessary.
- Lift and carry 10–50 pounds routinely and up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance.
- Climb steps and ladders; work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and with arms extended or overhead.
- Kneel, crouch, bend, reach, push, pull, and work across uneven flooring.
- Use hand tools, electrical test equipment, keyboards, and equipment requiring repetitive hand motion, fine manipulation, and manual dexterity.
- Distinguish colors and surfaces, detect heat sources, see work areas clearly, and hear instructions and warnings in a plant setting.
What to Expect in the Work Environment
This role works in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery, equipment, tools, and materials. Conditions may include loud noise, sawdust or other airborne particulates, humidity, fluctuating seasonal temperatures, outdoor weather, confined spaces, and elevated work areas. Required personal protective equipment, including gloves, hearing and eye protection, safety-toed work shoes, and other site-designated protection, must be worn. The schedule may include 10-hour day shifts or rotating 12-hour swing shifts covering days and nights (5:00 – 5:00), generally 36 or 48 hours per week, with varying start and finish times, weekends, and overtime as needed.
