About Us

Ridgeway Contract Solutions Ltd is a family run business specialising in social housing and private sector domestic properties. We undertake a wide range of works, including alterations, adaptations, maintenance, and refurbishment projects in both void and occupied properties throughout London and Essex.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our growing team. This is a full-time, field-based role working across domestic properties, delivering high-quality electrical installations, inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical inspections and testing within domestic properties.
• Identify electrical faults and undertake effective troubleshooting and repairs.
• Install, maintain, and replace electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
• Complete consumer unit upgrades and replacement of electrical accessories.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance works.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and electrical specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records and certification for completed works.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship, taking pride in delivering clean, tidy, and professional installations and repairs.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.
• Proven experience as a Domestic Electrician.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and current safety regulations.
• Strong fault finding, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
