Electrician

Job Purpose

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment used in the mattress manufacturing factory to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, switches, sockets, lighting, and electrical equipment.

• Troubleshoot electrical faults in mattress production machinery and factory equipment.

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and machinery.

• Inspect motors, control panels, sensors, relays, contactors, breakers, and other electrical components.

• Maintain electrical systems for machines such as quilting machines, tape-edge machines, foam cutting machines, spring machines, compressors, conveyors, and sewing equipment.

• Identify electrical faults and attend to machine breakdowns promptly to minimize production downtime.

• Perform electrical connections and installations for new machinery and equipment.

• Check and maintain three-phase electrical systems, motors, and control circuits.

• Replace faulty cables, switches, fuses, breakers, sensors, motors, and other electrical components.

• Ensure proper earthing and safe operation of all electrical installations.

• Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment and report potential hazards or defects.

• Maintain records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and replacement parts.

• Coordinate with mechanical maintenance staff for machine-related breakdowns.

• Follow factory safety procedures and electrical safety standards.

• Ensure all electrical work is carried out safely and in accordance with company requirements.

• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the electrical workshop and tools.

• Perform any other electrical maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade.

• Previous experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.

• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, control panels, and machinery.

• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults independently.

• Good knowledge of electrical safety procedures.

• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to machine breakdowns.

• UAE industrial/manufacturing experience is an advantage.
