Electrician

Jewell Electric, Inc. is hiring experienced electricians to join our team. We have provided Commercial, Industrial, and residential electrical services since 1981. Our team of electricians work on everything from ground-up construction, building additions, renovations, and tenant build-outs to electrical system upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, low-voltage installations, and more.

We’re looking for dependable electricians and foreman who work safely, take pride in quality workmanship, and work well with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities for Electrician

• Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
• Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
• Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards

· Performing circuit breaker corrective maintenance.

• Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
• Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
• Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
• Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
• Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Reading technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Performing general electrical maintenance.
• Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
• Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.

Qualifications for Electrician

• At least 4 years of experience working for an experienced electrical contractor, or completion of an electrical program at a technical or trade school with some hands-on field experience.
• Valid driver's license in state of practice
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
• Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
• Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
• Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
• Willing to work overtime

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
