Electrician

About This Role

This role is responsible for carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair works on plant machinery, equipment, and electrical systems within the AAC manufacturing facility. The Electrician shall support smooth plant operations by ensuring all electrical equipment is maintained in a safe, reliable, and efficient condition.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation, wiring, testing, maintenance, and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns on production machines and utilities.
• Inspect motors, control panels, sensors, switchgear, lighting systems, and electrical components regularly.
• Carry out routine checks on electrical systems and report abnormalities to the supervisor or Chargeman.
• Assist in machine commissioning, equipment upgrades, and improvement projects.
• Ensure all electrical works are performed in accordance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Support production teams by attending to equipment breakdowns promptly and effectively.
• Maintain proper maintenance records, checklists, and service reports.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel, technicians, contractors, and vendors during repair or maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping of the workshop, electrical rooms, and maintenance areas.
• Comply with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support plant shutdown activities and planned maintenance programs.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Certificate, SKM, Diploma, or Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Wireman, or a related field.
• Possess a valid Wireman (PW1, PW2, PW3, or PW4) certification issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) will be an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates and technical certificate holders are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial plants, building materials, concrete, AAC, or heavy industrial environments will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, control panels, sensors, inverters, and industrial machinery.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and safe electrical work procedures.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment and attend to breakdown situations when required.
• Good teamwork, communication skills, and safety awareness.
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on maintenance work.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
