Electrician: Experienced Apprentice

First Choice Electricity and Solar is a trusted electrical and solar company with 8 years of experience serving the greater Pacific Northwest (PNW). We’re seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Experienced Apprentice Electrician to join our team and work under the guidance and supervision of a Master Electrician.

You’ll receive hands-on, in-person training and mentorship from the Master Electrician while supporting industrial and commercial electrical projects. Gain practical experience with installation, troubleshooting, and safety procedures in a fast-paced environment that values quality, precision, and continuous learning. This paid position is designed to support your growth as you work toward becoming a licensed electrician.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across industrial and commercial sites, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and conduit bending tasks.
• Use hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues and verify system functionality.
• Perform electrical wiring tasks for low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper connections and adherence to safety protocols.
• Install conduit systems, electrical boxes, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures following detailed specifications.
• Follow strict electrical safety procedures to prevent hazards during all phases of work on construction sites or existing facilities.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an apprentice or in a similar role within industrial or commercial electrical environments.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and relevant safety protocols.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints with confidence; experience with blueprint reading is essential.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, conduit benders, along with power tools required for electrical work.
• Familiarity with testing instruments including voltmeters, ohmmeters, and schematics for troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Experience working on construction sites or in environments requiring adherence to strict safety standards.
• Capable of working with both low voltage and high voltage systems safely and effectively.
• Basic frame carpentry skills are a plus for supporting structural elements during installations.

Pay: $22.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
