Electrician Helper

This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your electrical skills whilst working alongside experienced electricians on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. As an Electrician Helper, you will play a vital role in supporting our electricians, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position is essential to our operations and provides a solid foundation for a rewarding career in the electrical trades.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
• Preparing job sites by organising tools, materials, and equipment needed for electrical work
• Running and positioning electrical cables, conduits, and wiring according to specifications
• Holding tools and materials for electricians during installation and repair tasks
• Cleaning and maintaining work areas to ensure a safe and organised environment
• Performing basic electrical tasks under direct supervision, such as disconnecting and reconnecting wires
• Assisting with testing and troubleshooting electrical systems and components
• Supporting the safe handling and storage of electrical materials and hazardous substances
• Following all health and safety regulations and reporting any potential hazards or concerns
• Learning best practices and developing technical knowledge through on-the-job training

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights safely
• Basic understanding of electrical safety principles and a strong commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively under supervision

• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to work
• Willingness to learn and develop practical electrical skills
• A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred
• Any relevant trade qualifications or prior experience in construction or electrical work would be advantageous
