Job Description

Hybrid Solutions Institute (HSI), a Texas Workforce Commission-approved career school in Houston, Texas, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Instructor to join our expanding workforce training team.

We are developing a comprehensive electrical training program utilizing NCCER Electrical Levels 1–4. We are looking for a qualified industry professional who can deliver engaging classroom instruction, practical hands-on training, and career-focused education that prepares students for employment and advancement in the electrical industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver NCCER Electrical Levels 1–4 curriculum, including required classroom and hands-on instruction.
• Teach electrical theory, wiring methods, circuitry, electrical safety, blueprint reading, motor controls, and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
• Develop and facilitate practical lab exercises, demonstrations, and technical assessments.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate attendance, assessment results, and instructional records.
• Ensure a safe classroom and lab environment.
• Support students in developing the technical skills necessary for entry-level electrical employment and continued apprenticeship training.
• Collaborate with school administration to support program development and instructional quality.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional electrical industry experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and applicable electrical codes.
• Ability to teach NCCER Electrical Levels 1–4.
• Strong communication, leadership, and instructional skills.
• Ability to provide hands-on demonstrations and supervise electrical lab activities.
• Willingness to obtain NCCER Instructor Certification if not currently certified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• Current NCCER Instructor Certification.
• Previous experience teaching electrical apprentices, vocational students, or workforce training participants.
• Experience developing electrical training programs or instructional materials.
• Familiarity with NCCER assessment procedures and credentialing requirements.
