Electrician (Meter Technician)

Electrician – Full Time

Location: North Sydney, NSW
Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (some Saturdays required)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney as a Meter Technician. In this role, you will carry out electrical work relating to the installation, testing, and maintenance of smart meters and associated equipment. You’ll ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of daily activities in line with client, business, and industry expectations.

This is a field-based position, so you must be willing to travel as required, and some Saturday work will be included depending on workload and operational needs.

• Job Specific Equipment/Tools
• Vehicle (with Personal Use)
• IPad
• All required specialised training/authorisations

Key Responsibilities

• Complete meter installations, exchanges, maintenance, testing, and special investigations
• Perform troubleshooting and wiring verification on metering systems
• Obtain load profile and other data from metering equipment
• Promote compliance with industry standards and internal policies
• Support MQE performance KPIs across safety, delivery, and customer satisfaction
• Ensure timely and accurate data capture and completion of documentation, including risk assessments
• Comply with all policies, procedures, privacy, and confidentiality requirements

Requirements

• Must be a qualified electrician (essential)
• Meter Technician experience desirable
• Must be willing to travel for work as required
• Must be available for some Saturdays as part of operational needs
