Electrician – Part Time

About the role

Kenny's Trades is seeking a qualified and reliable Residential Electrician to join our growing Adelaide team. This is a Part Time position offering a minimum of 16 hours per week, with the opportunity to progress into full-time employment for the right candidate. The role will primarily involve residential electrical maintenance, repairs, installations and fault-finding. You may also occasionally assist with simple handyman tasks, such as tightening door handles, replacing door stops or completing other minor property-maintenance items.

Key responsibilities

• Completing residential electrical maintenance and repairs
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
• Installing and replacing lights, switches, power points and electrical fittings
• Installing and replacing exhaust fans, smoke alarms and appliances
• Completing electrical upgrades and minor renovation work
• Testing electrical systems and ensuring all work is compliant
• Occasionally completing simple handyman tasks, such as tightening handles and replacing door stops
• Communicating professionally with tenants, homeowners and property managers
• Providing clear job notes and taking before-and-after photos
• Keeping the company vehicle, tools and work areas clean and organised

About you

• Current South Australian electrical license

• Current Australian driver's license

• Residential maintenance experience preferred

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Willingness to assist with occasional minor handyman tasks

• Interest in learning new skills and expanding your capabilities

• High standard of workmanship and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage daily jobs

• Reliable, punctual and well-presented

• Good communication and customer-service skills

• Current police clearance or willingness to obtain one
