Electro-Mechanical Assembler (Medical Device)

Primary Function:

This is an exciting opportunity to participate in KDI’s rapid growth cycle and contribute to the extraordinary customer experience through execution of product builds. Are you tired of doing the same thing every day? KDI is a medical device contract manufacturer with a wide variety of customers and products. We specialize in low to medium volume builds in the electromechanical and mechanical product areas. Things we do every day include electro-mechanical system assembly, device builds including software installation, laser marking, electrical cable assemblies, and a wide variety of other tasks to keep things interesting. We have a casual work environment with monthly lunches, popcorn on Tuesday and doughnuts on Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assemble and test a wide variety of electro/mechanical products using detailed work instructions.

· Successfully build products for medical devices of various sizes and complexities

· Solder wires to connectors and printed circuit boards

· Perform functional acceptance tests

· Solve assembly issues and offer improvement suggestions

· Communicate with fellow assemblers, engineers, and management staff on projects

· Help cross-train other assemblers on various tasks

Qualifications:

Required

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Able to communicate clearly in English

· Willingness to learn new things

· Mechanical aptitude

· Follow detailed work instructions and procedures.

· Good attendance is required

· Ability to learn and cross-train others

Preferred

· Previous medical device manufacturing experience is a plus.

· Understanding of cGMP and/or ISO 13485 is a plus.

· Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies is a plus.
