Electro Mechanical Engineer (Smart Homes)

We are a growing company specializing in Smart Home Solutions, Home Automation, Building Automation, and integrated technology systems. We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our team and support the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of smart-home projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate electrical and electro-mechanical requirements for smart-home projects.
• Coordinate the integration of smart-home systems with HVAC, lighting, electrical, security, access control, curtains/blinds, audio-visual and other building systems.
• Review technical drawings, electrical layouts, wiring diagrams and project specifications.
• Conduct site surveys and assess technical requirements before installation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, MEP teams and suppliers.
• Supervise installation, testing and commissioning of smart-home and automation systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, control and communication issues during installation and after handover.
• Ensure installations comply with project specifications, safety requirements and applicable standards.
• Prepare technical reports, site reports, testing and commissioning documentation.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and end users.
• Coordinate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide suitable technical solutions.
• Assist in preparing technical quotations, material requirements and project BOQs when required.
• Follow up on project progress, materials and equipment deliveries.
• Provide after-sales technical support and maintenance when required.

Desired Technical Knowledge

Experience or knowledge in some of the following areas will be highly advantageous:

• Smart Home / Home Automation Systems
• Building Management Systems (BMS)
• HVAC controls and automation
• Lighting control systems
• KNX or similar automation platforms
• Low-voltage systems
• CCTV and access control
• Structured cabling and networking
• Audio-visual systems
• Motorized curtains and blinds
• Electrical panels and control systems
• IoT and connected devices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in smart homes, building automation, MEP, ELV, electrical contracting or related industries is preferred.
• Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and their integration.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with project teams.
• Kuwait experience is an advantage.
• Valid Kuwait driving licence is preferred.
