Electro Mechanical Maintenance Technician

What you’ll do

• Install and commission new machines: wiring power and control cables, connecting to distribution panels, and testing before handover to production
• Connect equipment to utilities, including chillers (water/glycol lines), compressed air, water supply, and drainage
• Carry out preventive maintenance and fix breakdowns on production equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers, chillers, depositors, packaging machines, etc.)
• Diagnose electrical faults in motors, contactors, inverters/VFDs, sensors, and basic PLC-controlled systems
• Keep simple records of installations, repairs, and spare parts
• Follow food safety and hygiene rules when working in production areas
• Follow safe isolation procedures before working on any machine

What we’re looking for

• Industrial technical diploma or institute degree in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical engineering
• At least [3] years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a food, bakery, beverage, or pharmaceutical plant
• Proven experience installing and wiring new machines, not only repairing existing ones
• Ability to read electrical drawings and machine manuals (basic English is a plus, since many manuals aren’t in Arabic)
• Experience with piping and connecting chillers or cooling systems
• Familiarity with VFDs and basic PLC troubleshooting is a strong plus
• Refrigeration experience is a plus
• Willingness to respond to breakdowns outside normal hours when needed
