We're proud to be Great Place to Work® Certified, reflecting our commitment to creating a workplace where innovation thrives, collaboration is valued, and every employee can make a meaningful impact. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://www.benefitsquickstart.com/siemens/index.html Position Overview: We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Production Engineer to support passenger rail vehicle manufacturing at our Lexington, North Carolina facility by troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems, implementing engineering changes, improving manufacturability, and collaborating across Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure vehicles are built, tested, and delivered to Siemens and customer expectations. What your day-to-day will look like: - Support passenger rail vehicle production through assembly, systems integration, testing, commissioning, and resolution of safety, quality, schedule, and cost issues. - Apply engineering principles, industry standards, and Siemens processes to troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical manufacturing challenges. - Review and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, CAD models, drawings, and engineering specifications. - Implement engineering and configuration changes while evaluating designs for manufacturability, accessibility, serviceability, fit, and compliance. - Collaborate across Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Supplier teams on root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. This posting outlines the primary responsibilities of the role but is not all-inclusive; additional duties may be assigned in alignment with business needs. To thrive in this role, you have: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with 1+ year of relevant experience; or an associate degree with 5+ years of applicable experience. - Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications. - Experience with electrical or mechanical CAD tools such as ELCAD, E3, SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, or similar software. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and organizational skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment. - Ability to collaborate across multiple functions and priorities. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Purpose is the reason a company exists. It's not about making money or selling products - it's the deeper "why" behind everything we do. It answers the question: What problem are we solving? What positive change are we creating? For Siemens, our purpose has been clear for over 175 years: We create technology to transform the everyday, for everyone. The world needs technologies that work. Technologies that matter. Technologies that solve today's challenges and help shape a better tomorrow. And that's exactly what we build. By bringing together the real world (factories, buildings, power grids, trains) with the digital world (software, data, AI, digital twins), we help our customers become more competitive, resilient, and sustainable. Our technology is everywhere - in trains and transportation, we help move people faster, safer, and more sustainably. #LI-EB1
