4. Job Summary

The Electronics Engineer is responsible for supporting the development, testing, troubleshooting, validation, and manufacturing of electronic products and assemblies.

The role works closely with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and suppliers to ensure electronic products meet technical specifications, quality requirements, reliability standards, and production requirements.

5. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Electronic Product Development

• Support the design and development of electronic products, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
• Review electronic circuits, schematics, PCB layouts, and technical specifications.
• Select and evaluate electronic components according to product requirements.
• Support prototype development and engineering builds.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation.

B. PCBA & Manufacturing Support

• Support PCB and PCBA manufacturing activities.
• Provide technical support for SMT, THT, soldering, assembly, inspection, and testing processes.
• Troubleshoot component placement, soldering, electrical, and functional issues.
• Work with Process Engineering to improve electronic manufacturing processes.
• Support production during pilot runs and mass production.

C. Testing & Validation

• Develop or support electrical and functional testing procedures.
• Perform product testing and validation according to engineering requirements.
• Analyze test results and identify abnormalities.
• Support reliability and performance testing.
• Prepare test reports and technical documentation.
• Investigate product failures and recommend corrective actions.

D. Troubleshooting & Failure Analysis

• Investigate electronic product failures and production defects.
• Perform root-cause analysis using appropriate engineering and quality tools.
• Analyze PCBAs, components, circuits, and test results.
• Identify component, design, process, or manufacturing-related issues.
• Work with Quality and suppliers to resolve component-related problems.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.

E. New Product Introduction

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
• Review product designs for manufacturability and testability.
• Support prototype, pilot, and trial production.
• Prepare engineering specifications and manufacturing documentation.
• Identify potential technical and manufacturing risks before mass production.
• Support engineering changes and product revisions.

F. Component & Supplier Support

• Work with Procurement and suppliers on electronic component specifications.
• Evaluate alternative components when required.
• Review component datasheets and technical specifications.
• Support component qualification and validation.
• Assist in investigating component-related quality issues.
• Ensure component changes are properly reviewed and approved.

G. Engineering Change Control

• Support Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
• Review and implement approved design or component changes.
• Update relevant engineering documents and specifications.
• Ensure changes are properly validated before implementation.

H. Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve product reliability, manufacturing efficiency, and quality.
• Support reduction of electronic product defects and failures.
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve product and process performance.

6. Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic & Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience in PCBA, SMT, EMS, electronic assembly, or electronic product manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with electronic testing and troubleshooting is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge may be considered for junior-level positions.

7. Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of electronic circuits and components.
• Able to read and understand circuit schematics.
• Knowledge of PCB and PCBA manufacturing.
• Familiarity with SMT and THT processes.
• Knowledge of electronic testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with test equipment such as:
• Digital Multimeter
• Oscilloscope
• Power Supply
• Electronic Load
• Function Generator
• Other relevant test equipment
• Understanding of PCB layout and design is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CAD/EDA software is an advantage.
• Knowledge of IPC standards is an advantage.
• Good Microsoft Office and technical documentation skills.

• Mandarin Chinese: Required.
• Able to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking management, engineers, technicians, suppliers, and production teams.
• Able to participate in technical discussions in Mandarin.
• Able to understand Mandarin technical instructions where required.
• English: Good working proficiency.
• Bahasa Malaysia: An advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
