This is a hands-on role responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of electronic gaming machines (EGMs) across Christchurch/Mid-Canterbury. Key responsibilities

As an Electronic Gaming Technician, you will:

  • Perform Monthly Preventative Maintenance (MPM), inspections, testing, and servicing of gaming equipment.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers through excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate with fellow technicians and report directly to the Service Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with the technical team via email and phone.
  • Order, replace, and manage spare parts required for repairs.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and documentation for all work completed.
  • Participate in an on-call roster and occasional after-hours work when required.

About you

  • A qualification in Electronics, Computer Systems, or any related technical field.
  • Experience repairing electronic equipment. Experience with gaming machines, hospitality equipment, vending machines, EFTPOS systems, or similar electronic devices is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good computer literacy and the ability to complete electronic service reports.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A Full New Zealand driver's licence.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
