Electronic Security Technician

Salary: R5,750 – R7,500 per month, based on experience and technical capability.

We are seeking a reliable, practical Electronic Security Technician to install, service, diagnose and maintain electronic security systems for residential, commercial and industrial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and repair CCTV systems, including cameras, NVRs/DVRs, cabling and remote viewing.
• Install and service gate motors, garage automation, remotes, intercoms and safety beams.
• Install and troubleshoot access-control systems, including biometric readers, keypads, maglocks and electric strikes.
• Install, programme and maintain alarm systems and related sensors.
• Install, test and maintain electric-fence systems in line with safety requirements.
• Diagnose faults accurately and complete repairs efficiently.
• Conduct site assessments, explain work completed to customers and submit service reports.
• Maintain a professional appearance, keep work areas clean and protect company tools and equipment.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in electronic security installations and repairs.
• Technical knowledge of CCTV, gate motors, access control, alarms and electric fencing.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and use testing tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and manage jobs responsibly.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Valid driver’s licence is essential.
• Relevant technical training or industry certifications will be advantageous.

The successful candidate must be dependable, safety-conscious, willing to learn, and able to deliver neat, high-quality installations.

Pay: R5 750,00 - R7 500,00 per month
