Electronic Security Technician – Newcastle & Hunter Region

About the role

You will carry out remote support, servicing, fault finding and commissioning of CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems across commercial and enterprise sites.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and communication faults.
• Programming, configuring and commissioning security systems.
• Completing system upgrades and preventative maintenance.
• Performing basic IP network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Working with clients, IT teams and our technical team to resolve issues.
• Maintaining accurate service reports and site documentation.

About you

• A current NSW Security Licence appropriate to the work.
• A current driver's licence.
• Practical experience with Gallagher, Avigilon, Genetec and Inner Range Integriti.
• Basic IP networking knowledge, including IP addressing, subnet masks, gateways, network switches and basic connectivity testing.
• Strong fault-finding skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting.
• The ability to work independently and recognise when additional support is needed.
• Clear communication skills and a professional approach with clients.
• Attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
• Manufacturer training and certifications across these platforms will be highly regarded.
