Electronic Systems Assembler III

Ampex Data Systems Corporation is looking for a talented, committed, and self-motivated Assembler who enjoys the challenge of a constantly changing environment.

This position is to be filled onsite in Hayward, CA. No employer visa sponsorship is available.

Principle Duties:

• Performs advanced mechanical assemblies & sub-assemblies
• Operates hand and power tools to complete assemblies
• Reads and interprets work instructions to ensure accuracy of work performed
• Interacts with management and team members to encourage effective communication on production floor
• Performs standard testing and major troubleshooting
• Ensures quality standards are met throughout all steps of the assembly process

Qualifications:

• Ability to read assembly prints and electrical schematics, and blueprints
• Knowledge of cable routing, harness configuration, soldering, wiring & crimping standards
• Proficient in advanced assembly, general inspection and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems
• Advanced mechanical/electrical background with strong knowledge of historical and current assemblies and manufacturing practices
• 7+ years of related experience
• High School Diploma

This position will be working directly on a contract with the U.S. Government which requires all employees performing these functions to be U.S. Citizens. This position is contingent on the applicant providing proof of U.S. Citizenship.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $31.25/hour- $35.00/hour
