Electronic Technician/Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of production equipment, control systems, and electronic circuit boards.
2. Read and interpret circuit schematics, PCB layout drawings, and wiring diagrams to identify and resolve electronic faults.
3. Carry out component‑level troubleshooting: test, desolder, and replace faulty components (through‑hole and SMD) on PCBs.
4. Conduct functional tests and performance adjustments using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other standard test instruments.
5. Support the installation, wiring, commissioning, and acceptance of new equipment and automated systems.
6. Prepare and update maintenance logs, equipment files, and preventive maintenance schedules.
7. Assist engineering teams in prototype building, circuit modifications, and process validation.
8. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
9. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection standards.

Job Qualifications

1. Associate degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a closely related field.
2. Ability to read and understand circuit schematics, PCB layouts, and system block diagrams.
3. Solid knowledge of analogue and digital circuits (op‑amps, microcontrollers, power supplies, logic gates, etc.).
4. Hands‑on soldering and desoldering skills for both through‑hole and surface‑mount components.
5. Proficient in using test equipment: multimeter, oscilloscope, function generator, LCR meter, etc.
6. Familiarity with PLCs, variable‑frequency drives, sensors, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, etc.) is a strong plus.
7. Minimum 3 years of practical experience in electronic maintenance, repair, or manufacturing support (recent outstanding graduates with strong practical skills may also be considered).
8. Experience in PCB assembly, cable/wire harness fabrication, or IPC soldering standards is preferred.
