The Opportunity

As Electronics & Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will support the research, design, development, integration, and testing of advanced electronic and mechanical systems. This includes, but is not limited to, power distribution electronics, high-speed digital and RF systems, avionics, and flight mechanism development. You will play a key role in hardware fabrication, assembly, integration, verification, and validation activities, executing tests throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure system performance and reliability. You will also support the delivery, installation, and operation of GTI hardware at customer sites and launch facilities.

This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary role that requires intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges using sound engineering principles and practical problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment and is eager to contribute across multiple phases of product development, from concept through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, fabrication, assembly, and rework of ground and flight avionics systems
• Support the development, integration, and testing of electronic and electromechanical hardware
• Contribute to the design and implementation of power distribution electronics and associated subsystems
• Assist with the development and validation of high-speed digital and RF electronic systems
• Support the design, fabrication, and testing of flight mechanisms and related hardware
• Participate in hardware integration, troubleshooting, and engineering change implementation throughout the product lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications

• Five years of experience[EV1] electronics assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, or development
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions [LV2]
• US Citizenship required

Desired Qualifications

• IPC J-STD-001 Certification
• IPC-7711/7721 Rework and Repair Certification
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 Cable and Wire Harness Certification
• Experience with avionics, aerospace, defense, or flight hardware systems

Additional Information

• Salary Range: $60,000 - $100,000 + comprehensive benefits. Depending on the level of experience and qualifications of the candidate, the compensation package for this position may be adjusted.
• The position is fully on-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado and may require occasional travel, less than 5%
