📍 Lockport, IL | 1st Shift🕒 Full-Time💰 $20–$25/hour DOE

Build Precision Instruments from the Ground Up

Vitrek LLC is looking for an experienced Electronics Assembly Technician to join our production team in Lockport. This hands-on role focuses on assembling, wiring, soldering, testing, and inspecting precision electronic instrumentation and electro-mechanical systems used in advanced measurement and testing applications. If you take pride in precision soldering, clean workmanship, and building complex assemblies to exact specifications, this is an opportunity to put your technical skills to work in a specialized manufacturing environment.

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Perform SMT and through-hole soldering, including fine-pitch components and rework using magnification equipment
• Assemble electronic subassemblies, electro-mechanical products, and complete box-build systems
• Build, route, terminate, and label wires, cables, and harnesses to specifications
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, BOMs, and ECOs
• Inspect assemblies for workmanship, functionality, and compliance with production requirements
• Prepare components and materials by cutting, stripping, labeling, and organizing parts for assembly
• Follow established quality and safety procedures
• Maintain clean, organized, and production-ready work areas
• Support production goals and assist with additional assembly activities as needed

🧰 What You Bring

Required

• 3+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience, military technical training, or a combination of both
• Hands-on experience with SMT and through-hole soldering, including fine-pitch components
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently while following written and verbal instructions
• Strong organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills
• Effective communication and a collaborative approach
• Ability to work overtime as production needs require

Preferred

• IPC soldering certification or equivalent electronics assembly training
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, precision instrumentation, or a similar technical production environment

• Perform repetitive precision assembly requiring manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination
• Stand for extended periods during shifts
• Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs. regularly
