Electronics Engineer

This role is focused on the design, development and production of electronic systems and components for a highly technical manufacturing operation based in Balcatta. With a mix of design & development and in-service fault-finding and problem solving, this is an exciting opportunity for a strong electronic engineer with a broad skill set.

Our client is Orbital UAV, a long-standing supplier of powerplants for the commercial drone and UAV sector. With a growing list of customers and continued development, they have multiple requirements for outstanding technical staff for their team.

Description

• Design and develop electronic systems and components to meet project specifications.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic systems into manufacturing processes.
• Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test reports.
• Evaluate and select components, materials, and suppliers for electronic systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all designs.
• Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and efficiency.

Profile

A successful Electronics Engineer should have:

• A degree in electronics engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on exposure to designing and testing electronic systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with CAN Bus, serial I2C SPI and other communications protocols
• Proficiency with electronic design tools such as Altium, Fusion360 or Eagle
• Experience and proficiency in with programs such as SPICE, MATLAB, Git or SV
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration and documentation.
