Electronics Engineer

AMADA WELD TECH is part of the AMADA group and known as an innovator in finding creative joining and metal processing solutions. We have available an Electronics Engineer role in our UK Office based in Mildenhall Suffolk.

Job Summary

The role focuses on maintaining robust electronic designs for industrial equipment—including resistance welding and TIG welding power supplies. Supports the software engineer in maintaining existing software and the role can extend to PLC programming of small worktop-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Circuit & Control Design: Design and test electronic circuitry, control architecture, and embedded systems for industrial TIG and resistance welding equipment.
• Product Development Life Cycle: Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams from prototype development through validation and product launch.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct system bring-up, hardware testing, and root-cause analysis using diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and power supplies).
• Documentation: Prepare electrical schematics, bill of materials (BOM), testing procedures, and functional specifications for engineering releases.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a equivalent vocational qualification.
• Experience: Typically, 2+ years of professional engineering experience working in industrial automation, machinery manufacturing, or precision tool design.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in PCB testing, microprocessor programming, and electro-mechanical system integration.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
