Zing Recruiting, in partnership with an established automotive manufacturer in the San Antonio, TX area, is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their team! This is an exciting direct-hire opportunity offering competitive compensation, an annual performance-based bonus opportunity, flexible Monday–Friday hours, and a family-oriented work environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PCB design, embedded systems, firmware development, and electronic product development from concept through production.

Electronics Engineer Job Summary

• Pay: $120,000–$140,000 annually, depending on experience
• Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus opportunity, generally ranging up to 5%–15%, negotiated at hire
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible Engineering hours (6:00 AM–3:00 PM, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
• Employment Type: Direct Hire
• Location: San Antonio, TX
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot electronic hardware and embedded control systems for automotive applications.
• Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs/PCBAs) using Altium Designer or similar software.
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot embedded firmware using C/C++.
• Design and integrate microcontroller-based electronic systems.
• Work with automotive communication protocols, including CAN Bus and LIN.
• Perform prototype development, product validation, electronic testing, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and suppliers to support new product development.
• Support electronic products from initial concept and design through production launch.
• Identify opportunities to improve product performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
• Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams as needed.

Electronics Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of electronics engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with PCB design, circuit development, and electronic hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and firmware development using C/C++.
• Proficiency with PCB design software such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or similar tools.
• Strong electronic testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CAN Bus, LIN, or other automotive communication protocols preferred.
• Experience in automotive electronics, HVAC controls, industrial controls, or embedded product development preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple engineering projects and collaborate across Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
