INVOLI develops technology that makes air traffic visible. Our airspace monitoring solution combines aircraft transponder receivers with data processing, analysis, and visualization through INVOLI.live.
We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated Electronics Engineer to help develop the hardware behind our next generation of products.
The role
You will develop and validate electronic hardware from early prototypes through to production. Working across PCB design, RF reception, and signal processing, you will help turn product requirements into reliable, manufacturable solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contribution to the hardware architecture for new product developments
- Designing PCBs using Altium Designer
- Developing RF front ends for air traffic signal reception.
- Prototyping, testing, and validating electronic hardware.
- Coordinating suppliers for PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly.
- Supporting industrialization and production, including troubleshooting hardware issues.
- Providing technical support to customers on hardware-related questions.
About you
You enjoy hands-on engineering, take ownership of your work, and approach technical problems methodically. You bring practical experience in:
- PCB design, layout, and manufacturing.
- RF front-end design, including low-noise amplifiers, filters, demodulation, and analog-to-digital conversion.
- FPGA development for signal processing using VHDL.
- Electronic testing and measurement using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers.
- Product compliance and certification, including CE marking and FCC requirements, with familiarity with EMC, RoHS, ingress protection, and electrical safety.
- Hands-on electronics prototyping and pre-production assembly.
Location and working arrangements
The role is based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Partial work from home is possible when tasks allow, with on-site presence required for hands-on development, testing, and assembly.
