Electronics Lab Technician***

This will be a 1-year renewable position based in Changi Business Park

Responsibilities

Sample preparation, cross-sectioning, mounting, grinding, and polishing of PCB and semiconductor package samples.

Optical microscopy inspections and SEM analysis to support failure analysis and material characterization.

Evaluate layer thickness, plating quality, via structures, solder joints, and material interfaces by analyzing cross-sectional images.

Operate laboratory equipment (cross-section preparation tools, optical microscopes, and SEM systems).

Documentation of inspection results

Generating technical reports

Communicate findings to engineers and project stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Materials Science, Electronics, or a related field.

At least 2 years of hands-on experience in sample preparation, mounting, grinding, polishing, and cross-sectioning.

Experienced in operating optical microscopy and SEM equipment.

Experienced in using image analysis, metrology, and reporting software.

Able to identify and document defects such as voids, cracks, contamination, and delamination-related issues.

Exposed to semiconductor packaging and PCB manufacturing process.

Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and technical documentation skills.

Thrive in working independently and capable of collaborating effectively with engineering teams
