What they need
Are you the kind of person who enjoys figuring out why something isn’t working and how to fix it ?
We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Control Electrical Specialist to help improve the quality, reliability, and performance of electronic motor control products.
In this role, you’ll test and troubleshoot electronic control boards, investigate failures, support production testing, and work closely with Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Production to identify problems and develop practical solutions.
If you enjoy working with electrical equipment, troubleshooting at the component level , and getting to the root cause of technical problems, this could be a great opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Test and troubleshoot electronic control boards , perform audit testing, and investigate product failures.
- Perform hands-on failure analysis using electrical measurements and testing techniques.
- Troubleshoot electronic controls and motors down to the component level .
- Work with manufacturing equipment and processes used to produce motors and motor controls, including:
- Wave and reflow soldering
- PCB and motor testers
- Programming equipment
- Potting processes
- Assembly equipment
- Troubleshoot computerized production test equipment, including control board programmers and testers .
- Assist with equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
- Accurately document board failures and track scrap and quality issues in the manufacturing system.
- Analyze failure data and prepare reports such as Pareto charts and failure-mode summaries .
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, R&D, Production, Technicians, and manufacturing leadership to identify recurring issues and improve processes.
- Communicate troubleshooting results, failure analysis findings, and quality trends to the teams responsible for product and process improvements.
What We’re Looking For
- 2-year technical degree in Electronics or a related technical field, OR equivalent hands-on experience with electronics, electrical systems, manufacturing, testing, or troubleshooting.
- Strong electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Hands-on approach to diagnosing and solving technical problems.
- Experience or familiarity with electrical test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes .
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot electronic circuitry and components .
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with people across Engineering, Quality, R&D, and Production.
Why This Opportunity?
This is a good fit for someone who would rather get hands-on with a board, meter, scope, motor, or tester than spend the entire day behind a desk .
You’ll have the opportunity to investigate real product failures, work alongside engineering and manufacturing teams, build deeper troubleshooting skills, and directly contribute to improving product quality and manufacturing processes.
If you're a hands-on electrical/electronics problem solver who likes getting to the bottom of how things work, we'd like to hear from you.
Other offers great for you!
