What they need
$60 per hour
100% remote
Part-time
Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of AI inspection systems, on your own schedule, and get paid for the electronics expertise you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real electronics quality and inspection engineers. The teams building them need professionals who can create realistic manufacturing and inspection scenarios, judge how well the AI handles technical evidence, write the answer an experienced engineer would give, and explain exactly where the AI falls short. Your judgment becomes part of how the next generation of AI models understands electronics quality, defects and compliance. This is that work, done remotely around your current job.
What you'll do
For quality and standards compliance, review PCB CAM data and check whether the Gerber files support manufacturable production
Use IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 criteria to inspect completed board builds and wire-harness work
Review SMT and AOI defect calls, separate false calls from real issues, then determine root causes and remediation options
Assess counterfeit electronic parts using C-SAM and X-ray inspection results for semiconductor packages
Why this is worth your time
Get paid $60–$60 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
Work directly with frontier AI inspection tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most electronics quality and inspection engineers will not have for years
Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping electronics quality and inspection, and the engineers who understand it from the inside will lead that change
Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
Bring practical experience in PCB assembly, wire harnesses or semiconductor packaging, plus a minimum of eight years of hands-on work across electronics quality, CAM engineering or failure analysis
Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, Gerber data, PCB CAM software, SMT processes, AOI, AS6081, C-SAM, X-ray inspection and MIL-STD-883; IPC CIS or CIT certification is preferred
Professional fluency in English, with the ability to document technical findings clearly in writing and explain them clearly in conversation
No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
$60 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, Philippines
