Electronics Workshop Technician

Location: Leeds, LS16 6QE

Salary: up to £35k

Permanent, full or part time

As part of The Electronics Group’s continued growth throughout the UK, we are looking to bring in an Electronics Workshop Technician to support the company in role that will have multiple facets and functions. Primarily, this role will be to support with customer X Ray Inspection and Electronics Rework requirements. Secondary to that, this person will need to support the wider company with stock management, sales and technical support, as well as supporting the Leeds based training team with kit and classroom/workshop management.

This is a new role to the business and will develop over the initial 12-months. This is a permanent position, and we are open to both full and part time.

The Electronics Group can provide full training for the right candidate across all aspects of this position. However, experience in electronics assembly/rework is essential.

This will require some travel to our sites in Aberdeen and Cirencester.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Perform customer X Ray and PCB/A Inspection

· Carry out customer rework requirements including BGA

· Provide sales and technical support to the wider team

· Assist the training team with classroom and stock management

· Liaise with suppliers and partners regarding new and existing products, services and changes to standards

What we’re looking for:

· Experience in electronics assembly and rework (essential)

· Knowledge of IPC standards (desirable)

· Experience of electronics X Ray inspection (desirable)

· Organised and great written and verbal communication (essential)
