The Role

We are seeking an Electronics Technician to join our Aberdeen team. This is a workshop-based role offering full training and strong development opportunities.

You’ll support customers by maintaining and repairing Nautronix subsea acoustic products and CCTV, subsea and thermal imaging cameras, developing the skills and confidence to take full ownership of tasks and customer support activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and provide reports and quotations for subsea acoustic sensors
• Perform quality control checks on all subsea products
• Build, assemble and repair PCB, including soldering in line with Company procedures and drawings
• Inspect, test, and prepare rental equipment
• Raise purchase requests
• Quality Control
• Respond to customer queries
• Source parts on Company ERP system
• Report non-conformances on products
• Follow company HSEQ policies and industry standards
• Use and update internal systems

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• HNC/HND in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
• Experience in electronic fault finding, repair and problem solving
• Experience in a technical support role
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
• Work to tight deadlines
• Team player with strong communication and reporting skills
• Competent in Microsoft Office and Business Central
• Able to plan, organise, prioritise and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Minimum Qualifications

• Electronic Apprenticeship ONC /HNC in electronic or electrical engineering

• Soldering to IPC Standards
• First Aid
• Forklift license
• Fire Warden
