Full job description

Electronics Technician Trainee

Job Band: Technical – Training

Reports To: Test Manager

FLSA: Hourly

Classic Automation is a large supplier of industrial automation components, offering both

spares and repair services.

Summary

This is an entry-level role for individuals with little to no electronics experience who require

comprehensive training and close supervision.

This individual will focus on learning through the in-house Test-to-Stock (TTS) program,

where they may perform numerous steps of the process—including pulling, cleaning,

testing, and packaging—depending on workload and company needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Basic parts cleaning and preparation under supervision

• Assist with test setup and equipment organization

• Shadow experienced technicians during testing procedures

• Perform simple documentation tasks (serial number recording, basic form

completion)

• Maintain test area organization and equipment cleanliness

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Interest in electronics field

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to follow detailed instructions

• Good attention to detail and safety awareness
