Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Elementary Math Teacher/Tutor/Substitute to inspire and support students in developing their mathematical skills. Duties

• Deliver engaging lessons in Singapore Math and manage an online math teaching portal.
• Develop and implement curriculum tailored to students’ individual needs and learning styles using math manipulatives as needed.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in math and Language arts subjects as needed
• Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment for students of all ages.
• Prepare lesson plans aligned with educational standards and track student progress regularly
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with special education needs or those requiring additional support in STEM subjects

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching math at the elementary or middle school level, with a strong understanding of curriculum development and lesson planning
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and teenagers in both classroom and virtual settings
• Proficiency in learning technology platforms and computer skills necessary for online instruction and digital resource management
• Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and adaptability to diverse student needs
• Experience working with students from varied backgrounds including special education or early childhood education is a plus
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and motivate students to achieve their academic goals
• Flexibility to serve as a substitute teacher across multiple grade levels or subjects as needed

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
