The Department of Catholic Schools are seeking dedicated, faith-filled educators to join our school communities for the upcoming school year.

Open Positions

• Elementary Classroom Teachers (Grades PreK–8)
• Special Area Teachers (e.g., Art, Music, Physical Education, Foreign Language)
• Support and Resource Teachers (Special Education, Reading, AIS)

Position Overview

Catholic elementary teachers partner with families and parishes to educate the whole child—academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally—in a Christ-centered environment. Candidates should be committed to academic excellence and supportive of the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church. We encourage all teachers- brand new teachers right out of school or experienced teachers looking for a different environment or to supplement their pension- to consider starting or continuing their career in Catholic Ed. The DoCS serves as a clearinghouse for applicants, connecting candidates with the 25 elementary schools in our system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred
• New York State Teacher Certification preferred (or working toward certification)
• Commitment to Catholic education and values
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and families

Pay: $27,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
