Elementary Teacher

The Elementary Teacher is responsible for providing effective instruction to primary to intermediate learners, primarily in Araling Panlipunan (AP), Values Education, Reading, and Language. The teacher serves as an adviser to an assigned class, and supporting the academic, personal, and social development of students in accordance with HCJM’s curriculum, policies, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plans and delivers engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons using varied and effective teaching strategies.
• Prepares lesson plans, learning materials, activities, quizzes, examinations, and other required instructional outputs.
• Assesses and documents student learning and submits grades and required academic records within prescribed timelines.
• Maintains a safe, orderly, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Provides appropriate support and interventions for learners with different learning needs, in coordination with the appropriate school personnel.
• Serves as an adviser to an assigned elementary class and monitors the general academic, behavioral, and personal development of advisees.
• Provides guidance and appropriate support to advisees and refers concerns to the appropriate school personnel when necessary.
• Maintains accurate and updated advisory records and completes required class monitoring and documentation.
• Maintains positive and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, concerns, and school matters.
• Participates in parent-teacher conferences, school activities, meetings, and other assigned academic and school responsibilities.
• Assists in promoting student discipline, attendance, participation, and compliance with school policies.
• Complies with HCJM policies on student supervision, child protection, safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
• Participates in classroom observations, coaching, mentoring, and professional development activities.
• Performs other reasonable duties and responsibilities related to the teaching and advisory role as assigned by the school.
