Elementary Tutor

Positions Available at The Study Station

Location: Oak Ridge, NC

We are currently seeking passionate, qualified tutors to join our growing team at our pilot location in Oak Ridge.

Open Positions:

1. Phonics Tutor (Structured Literacy Focus Preferred)
We are looking for a strong phonics tutor with training in one or more of the following programs:

• Orton-Gillingham
• Wilson Reading System
• UFLI

2. Homework Support Tutor
Tutor will reteach and reinforce concepts aligned with school curriculum while supporting students with homework completion.

3. K–5 Intervention Tutor
Responsible for designing and delivering individualized intervention lessons for elementary students (grades K–5)in all subjects. Must be comfortable creating structured lesson plans based on student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions
• Create customized lesson plans aligned with student goals
• Maintain accurate student records
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and team members
• Maintain a learning environment conducive to academic growth
• Attend staff meetings as needed
• Serve as a positive role model for students
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in teaching and/or tutoring
• Teaching license preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
