ELV and Cabling Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems.
• Work on LAN, CAT6/CAT6A, Fiber Optic, Patch Panel, Rack, and I/O installations.
• Perform cable dressing, labeling, routing, and cable management.
• Install and maintain ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Video Door Phone, PA systems, and related infrastructure.
• Carry out fiber optic cable pulling, splicing, termination, and testing as required.
• Conduct cable testing using appropriate testing tools and equipment.
• Identify and rectify cable faults, connectivity issues, and ELV system failures.
• Assist in installation and configuration of network racks, switches, patch panels, and related equipment.
• Read and understand cabling layouts, drawings, and site plans.
• Maintain proper documentation of cable routes, testing results, and completed work.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and client representatives for site activities.
• Follow all site safety procedures and client guidelines.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of structured cabling and ELV systems.
• Hands-on experience with CAT6/CAT6A and Fiber Optic cabling.
• Knowledge of RJ45 termination, patch panels, racks, and cable management.
• Basic understanding of LAN/networking concepts.
• Experience with ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, and PA systems will be preferred.
• Ability to use basic testing tools such as LAN tester, cable tester, fiber tester/power meter, etc.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work at client sites and travel as per project requirements.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in ELV projects, structured cabling, data centers, commercial buildings, manufacturing units, or IT infrastructure projects will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
