ELV Commissioning Engineer

Role Overview

We're hiring Commissioning ELV Engineers to join DAMAC Digital, working across some of the region's newest hyperscale and AI-ready data centre projects.

Commissioning is the final critical stage before a facility goes live, proving that every ELV system and integration performs as designed under normal operating conditions and failure scenarios. This role will be responsible for commissioning mission-critical ELV systems from design review through testing, validation and final handover.

Responsibilities

• Review ELV design documentation, specifications, shop drawings, method statements, Sequence of Operations (SOO), and commissioning procedures.
• Develop and review Level 2 to Level 5 commissioning scripts, test procedures, and test documentation.
• Verify installation readiness prior to functional testing and commissioning activities.
• Witness and supervise commissioning activities across all ELV systems.
• Coordinate integrated testing between ELV, Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Verify communication interfaces, network connectivity, and system integrations are functioning as designed.
• Perform functional testing, failure scenario testing, restoration testing, and system performance validation.
• Review point-to-point verification and ensure control points are correctly mapped between field devices and supervisory systems.
• Support Integrated Systems Testing (IST), Tier Certification of Constructed Facility (TCCF), authority inspections, and client demonstrations.
• Ensure commissioning reports, test records, as-built documentation, and turnover packages are complete and accurate.
• Participate in project handover activities and provide technical support during Operational Readiness and Early Operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in ELV engineering, construction, commissioning, and project delivery.
• Minimum 6 years of experience commissioning mission-critical facilities or data centres.
• Strong understanding of mission-critical ELV systems within data centre environments.
• Experience commissioning and troubleshooting Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS).
• Working knowledge of network infrastructure, IP-based communication protocols, and fibre optic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret network topology drawings, Sequence of Operations (SOO), cause and effect matrices, control schematics, and design documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders throughout the commissioning lifecycle.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as TIA-942, Uptime Institute, BICSI, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, and local authority requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using digital commissioning platforms such as Facility Grid, Compass, or Procore.
• Professional certifications such as BICSI, CCNA, Uptime ATD, CDCP, CDCS, or equivalent.
• Experience with Tridium Niagara, Schneider EBO/EPO, or similar integrated building management platforms.
• Previous experience supporting hyperscale or colocation data centre projects.
• Experience leading Integrated Systems Testing (IST), TCCF activities, and client witness testing.
