ELV Engineer - CCTV & Security Systems

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related Engineering discipline.

Valid UPDA/MME Engineering registration.

MOI-approved CCTV/Security Engineer or eligibility for the required MOI approval.

Minimum 3–5 years of ELV/CCTV experience in Qatar, preferably with MOI-approved projects.

Strong knowledge of CCTV, NVR/VMS, IP networking, access control, and security systems.

Experience with MOI CCTV submission, approval, inspection, and commissioning procedures.

Good knowledge of AutoCAD and preparation/review of technical drawings.

Ability to prepare technical submittals, method statements, material approvals, and project documentation.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Qatar driving license is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Design and engineer CCTV and other ELV security systems according to project requirements.

Prepare and review CCTV layouts, schematics, equipment schedules, BOQ, and technical submittals.

Ensure CCTV designs and installations comply with Qatar MOI security requirements and applicable standards.

Coordinate with MOI/security authorities for approvals, inspections, and related documentation.

Prepare and submit technical documents for MOI approval.

Supervise CCTV installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning.

Configure CCTV cameras, NVR/VMS, storage systems, network switches, and related equipment.

Conduct site surveys and assess existing infrastructure and site conditions.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, main contractors, MEP teams, IT/network teams, and suppliers.

Review shop drawings and ensure installation is as per approved drawings and specifications.

Troubleshoot CCTV and ELV system issues and provide technical solutions.

Prepare testing and commissioning reports, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documents.

Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed within approved schedules.

Support material selection, technical evaluation, procurement, and supplier coordination.

Attend site meetings, inspections, and authority inspections.

Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and quality standards.

Provide technical guidance to ELV technicians and site teams
