ELV Field Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ELV Technician to install, test, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems for commercial, residential, hospitality, and industrial projects in the UAE.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with ELV installations, good knowledge of technical drawings, cable termination, testing equipment, and troubleshooting of ELV systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, commission, and maintain ELV systems as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Carry out cable pulling, dressing, tagging, termination, and continuity testing.
• Read and understand ELV drawings, schematics, layouts, and cable schedules.
• Install and configure ELV field devices, panels, controllers, cameras, sensors, and other equipment.
• Assist ELV Engineers/Supervisors during testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with other MEP and site teams to avoid installation conflicts.
• Ensure all works are completed according to approved drawings, method statements, and project requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation of installation, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure materials and equipment are installed correctly and protected from damage.
• Follow UAE site safety requirements, company HSE procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain tools, testing equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Attend emergency breakdowns and service calls when required.
• Support system handover and snagging activities.

ELV Systems

The technician may be responsible for one or more of the following systems:

• CCTV surveillance systems
• Access control systems
• Fire alarm systems
• Public Address (PA) and voice evacuation systems
• Structured cabling and data networks
• Intercom systems
• SMATV/IPTV systems
• Audio/visual systems
• Gate barriers and parking management systems
• Building Management System (BMS)
• Intrusion alarm systems
