ELV / Low Current Technician

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced ELV / Low Current Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of ELV systems across residential and commercial projects.

The candidate should be technically skilled, reliable, able to work independently, and comfortable working on-site and meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain CCTV systems.
• Install and configure Access Control Systems, including controllers, readers, locks, and related devices.
• Install, terminate, test, and maintain Intercom Systems.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Sound / Public Address (PA) Systems.
• Perform cable pulling, dressing, termination, labeling, testing, and fault finding.
• Read and understand ELV drawings, wiring diagrams, layouts, and system schematics.
• Identify technical faults and carry out effective troubleshooting and repairs.
• Configure and test ELV devices and systems as required.
• Assist with system testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure installations are completed according to project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other site teams to complete work efficiently.
• Maintain proper tools, equipment, and materials required for site work.
• Complete assigned tasks within project schedules and deadlines.

Required Technical Skills

The ideal candidate should have practical hands-on experience with:

• CCTV Systems
• IP / Network CCTV
• Access Control Systems
• Intercom / Video Intercom
• Sound / Public Address (PA) Systems
• ELV / Low Current cabling and infrastructure
• Cable termination and testing
• Basic network knowledge is an advantage
• Technical drawings and system layouts
• System troubleshooting and fault finding

Requirements

• Previous experience as an ELV / Low Current Technician.
• Strong practical, hands-on knowledge of ELV systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in commercial and residential projects is preferred.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site and travel between project locations when required.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.

Preferred Candidate

We are especially interested in candidates who can independently install, configure, test, commission, and troubleshoot multiple ELV systems, rather than candidates with experience limited to cable pulling or basic installation.
