Email Deliverability Expert

Context

At a leading global sports retail company, we connect businesses with their audiences through powerful, data-driven communication. Every day for 67 markets/countries, millions of critical updates, newsletters, and promotional campaigns pass through our infrastructure (>5B emails/year). We are looking for an Email Deliverability Expert who treats the inbox like sacred ground and knows exactly how to navigate the complex world of ISPs, spam filters, and sender reputations. If you look at an email bounce log and see a story waiting to be solved, we want you on our team. As our Email Deliverability Expert, your primary mission is to ensure our emails actually reach the inbox. You will own the strategy, monitoring, and optimization of our email infrastructure, working closely with our marketing, product, and engineering teams.

Missions

• Infrastructure management: Set up, monitor, and maintain authentication protocols including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI.
• Reputation monitoring: Continuously track domain and IP reputations and other seed list/deliverability tools.
• Mitigation & remediation: Act as first responder for deliverability crises. Troubleshoot blocks, blacklists, and spam-folder placement, and handle remediation directly with ISPs.
• Data-driven optimization: Analyze bounce logs, engagement metrics, and spam complaint rates to proactively identify and resolve delivery issues.
• Best practices advocacy: Partner with content and marketing teams to advise on list hygiene, opt-in strategies, email design, and copy choices that affect deliverability.

Working Conditions

• Daily rate: 590€
• Location: Lille

1. 3+ years of dedicated experience in email deliverability, compliance, or email postmaster roles (preferably within an ESP or high-volume sending environment)
2. Deep understanding of SMTP, DNS, IP warming, feedback loops (FBLs), and email headers
3. Proven track record of successfully resolving major ISP blocks (Gmail, Yahoo/AOL, Microsoft) and delisting domains from major blacklists (Spamhaus, Barracuda, etc.)
4. Strong familiarity with global privacy and anti-spam regulations, including CAN-SPAM, CASL, and GDPR
5. Comfortable working with large datasets, SQL, or log analysis tools to spot trends and anomalies
6. Expertise in other channels like SMS and WhatsApp is an added advantage
