About the Role
Our client, a US-based marketing agency, is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Email Marketing Copywriter to develop original, engaging, and persuasive email campaigns for e-commerce and hospitality clients, including breweries, taprooms, and beverage brands.
This role is primarily focused on copywriting. We're looking for someone who can turn marketing goals into compelling content that captures attention, reflects each brand's voice, and drives action, whether that's increasing taproom visits, promoting events, or generating online sales.
You'll also use email marketing platforms to build, test, and schedule campaigns while collaborating with designers and managing multiple client accounts.
Key Responsibilities

Write creative, persuasive email copy, including subject lines, preview text, body copy, and calls to action.

Develop email campaigns for e-commerce brands, breweries, taprooms, and other hospitality businesses.

Create promotional content for product launches, special offers, seasonal campaigns, holidays, events, and limited-time promotions.

Apply copywriting frameworks such as AIDA, PAS, and Before-After-Bridge to improve engagement and conversions.

Use AI tools to support the writing process while ensuring all content remains original, natural, and aligned with each brand's voice.

Collaborate with graphic designers by providing clear creative briefs and reviewing email designs before launch.

Build, test, and schedule campaigns using Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and other email marketing platforms.

Conduct A/B tests on subject lines, messaging, and other campaign elements.

Proofread campaigns to ensure accuracy, including links, product details, prices, dates, and promotional information.

Manage email calendars and deadlines across multiple client accounts.

Review campaign performance and use insights to improve future messaging and results.

Requirements

Proven experience in copywriting, preferably in email marketing or direct-response marketing.

Strong creative writing skills and the ability to produce original, engaging, and conversion-focused content.

Native or near-native English proficiency, with excellent grammar, spelling, and writing skills.

Hands-on experience with Klaviyo and Mailchimp.

Working knowledge of copywriting frameworks such as AIDA, PAS, and Before-After-Bridge.

Understanding of email marketing best practices, A/B testing, and campaign optimization.

Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when reviewing links, product information, pricing, and promotional details.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients, campaigns, and deadlines simultaneously.

Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to collaboration and problem-solving.

Ability to use AI writing tools effectively while maintaining high-quality, human-sounding copy.

Nice to Have

Experience writing marketing content for breweries, wineries, distilleries, restaurants, bars, or other hospitality businesses.

Experience working with e-commerce brands and creating promotional email campaigns.

Experience with Black Friday, Cyber Monday, holiday sales, and seasonal promotions.

Familiarity with Toast, Square, or other point-of-sale marketing tools.

Basic Canva skills for reviewing designs or making minor adjustments.

Knowledge of email segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and performance reporting.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a strong copywriter first and an email marketer second. The ideal candidate is creative, persuasive, detail-oriented, and comfortable adapting their writing style to different brands and audiences.
You should be able to turn a campaign brief into compelling copy without relying on generic templates or unedited AI-generated content. You should also be organized, responsive, and comfortable collaborating with a team across multiple client accounts.
What We Offer

Remote work opportunity.

Part-time position starting at 20 hours per week, with the potential to transition to full-time.

Opportunity to work with diverse e-commerce and hospitality brands.
