Gee and Hickton are looking for someone to come and join the team in Lower Hutt. We are on the hunt for talented, dedicated candidates for this extremely rewarding role.

The ideal candidate will have an eagerness to learn and work to excelling within the art and science of the mortuary role, to push boundaries, work extremely hard to help with the core values of helping client families through often extremely difficult times.

You will work within a small team who are dedicated to excellence and high industry standards. Our mortuary team works cohesively with our larger funeral directing and management staff to meet the expectations of the families you will be working with. You will be working to time frames to meet our client families wishes, cultural expectations and requests.

Skills and experience

Be able to prioritise tasks to ensure that deliverables are completed on time.

Clean drivers licence.

Ability to work under pressure.

Interest in chemistry, microbiology (preferred but not essential).

About the role

It's essential that you are able to communicate effectively and work cohesively in a larger team. The ideal candidate should have excellent attention to detail, have proven problem solving skills and can work well under pressure.  The mortuary staff work on a rotational roster with weekend and after hours work. We want someone who has a good work ethic and a very compassionate nature.

This is an extremely exciting role with future potential for gaining diploma level qualifications that are recognised throughout the global mortuary industry.
