Embedded Developer

ALTEN is seeking an engaged Embedded Developer to join our team in Sweden. You will work with a leading client in the Automotive industry, focusing on Driver Interaction systems in a hybrid setup. About the role

You will be part of a team developing Driver Interaction systems, focusing on how drivers interact with the vehicle through displays, stalks, and switches. Your work will primarily involve Embedded C for core logic and C++/Qt for HMI visualization. The developed code will be integrated into the Instrument Cluster (Driver Information Module), which runs on a dual-processor architecture—one for AUTOSAR and another for Linux/Yocto with Qt.

You will collaborate in a Scrum team of around 6 people, including a dedicated Product Owner and Scrum Master. The team emphasizes continuous integration and automated regression testing, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Communication protocols like CAN, LIN, and Ethernet (SOME/IP, STOMP, display sharing) will be part of your daily work.

Your main responsibilities

• Develop Embedded C code for core logic in Driver Interaction systems
• Implement HMI visualization using C++/Qt
• Work with AUTOSAR and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 requirements
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team to define and realize driver interaction features
• Integrate and test software on a dual-processor architecture (AUTOSAR + Linux/Yocto)
• Utilize communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet (SOME/IP, STOMP)
• Participate in continuous integration and automated regression testing

Your profile

We are looking for a fast-learning, curious, and team-oriented developer with a strong background in Embedded C, AUTOSAR, and ISO 26262.

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in Embedded C development
• Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR and ISO 26262 implementation
• Experience with HMI development and driver interaction systems
• Familiarity with C++/Qt for visualization
• Fluent in English (Swedish is a plus)
