Salary:$105,000
Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Security Manager to oversee and coordinate security operations across our core business and client network. Acting as the key liaison between us and our client, you’ll ensure all security functions are delivered to the highest standard and aligned with strategic objectives. This role plays a vital part in maintaining operational excellence, providing expert guidance, and driving initiatives that protect people, assets, and reputation.

The Opportunity:

As the key liaison between SPG and our client, you’ll play a pivotal role in bridging strategic direction with on-the-ground delivery. You’ll lead the development, implementation, and reporting of the annual operational security plan, ensuring SPG’s services align with client needs and our broader organisational objectives. Working closely with SPG Leads across Technology, Intelligence, and Security, you’ll drive collaboration, strengthen operational performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. You’ll manage client engagement programs, maintain proactive communication channels, and oversee day-to-day operational readiness to ensure consistency across all protocols and standards. This role also involves designing and embedding quality systems and SOPs, facilitating introductions to SPG service leads, and providing regular reporting to the SPG Principal on service delivery, performance, and client satisfaction.

Key Tasks

  • Conduct regular operational and client meetings (monthly and bi-weekly) to review performance, risks, and priorities.
  • Prepare and present operational and incident reports, daily summaries, and activity logs.
  • Oversee and manage the upkeep, implementation, and review of key documentation, including SOPs, Incident Response Plans, and Critical Incident Management Plans.
  • Undertake operational security duties including patrols, sweeps, visitor management, concierge services, and access control.
  • Ensure all deliveries and guests are appropriately screened, and that security responses are proportionate to identified risks.
  • Identify, investigate, and respond to suspicious activity, incidents, and emergencies in alignment with established procedures.
  • Oversee the functionality and performance of security systems including CCTV, alarms, access control, physical mitigations, and key management.
  • Coordinate maintenance, service calls, field operations, and subcontractor activities for equipment and facility repairs.
  • Plan and manage security operations for external events, lectures, and high-profile functions.

Qualities and Qualifications:

  • Client-centric focus and a genuine commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of clients
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a senior security and management role
  • Hold or be able to obtain an NSW or VIC Security Licence
  • Hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Check
  • Experience working with high net worth (UHNW) individuals (desirable)
  • Demonstrated high performance output with an exceptional degree of attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills and positive engagement across a variety of stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with strong vision and sound implementation capability
  • Sharp negotiation and networking skills
  • Proactive problem-solver
  • An active, positive and energetic professional team member
  • Ability document processes, devise action plans and project manage multiple deliverables to achieve results
  • Self-motivated and autonomous
  • Open to interstate and/or international travel for client function/event guarding assignments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.
