Embedded Software Architect & Technical Lead

Looking to combine embedded software architecture, hands-on technical expertise and team leadership? This role offers the opportunity to shape software for demanding applications where reliability and quality are essential.

Your role

▪️ Own the software architecture and guide key technical decisions.

▪️ Lead and mentor a small, growing embedded software team.

▪️ Set development, code review and testing standards.

▪️ Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, control and systems engineers.

▪️ Drive software readiness for qualification, technical audits and customer acceptance.

Your background

✔️ A master’s degree in engineering or a relevant scientific discipline.

✔️ Extensive embedded software experience, typically 10+ years, in complex or regulated environments.

✔️ Strong C/C++ expertise on microcontroller-based systems.

✔️ A track record in software architecture and technical leadership.

✔️ Familiarity with ECSS, DO-178C or comparable development frameworks.

✔️ Strong communication skills in English, with French and/or Dutch.

Experience in space applications, FPGA development or automated testing on embedded targets would be an asset.

You bring sound technical judgement, a collaborative leadership style and the initiative to thrive in a start-up environment.
